Chew, Plush, Puzzle & Cat Toys

Natural rubber · TPR · EN71 · CPSIA

Toys are the highest-frequency purchase in the category and the one where a failed safety test ends a retail relationship. We supply natural rubber, TPR and TPE chew toys, cotton rope, plush with reinforced stitching, puzzle feeders and the full cat toy range. Every SKU is tested to EN71 for the EU and ASTM F963 / CPSIA for the United States, with reports held per batch. MOQ is 500 pieces.

The material decides both the price and the claim you can make. Natural rubber is the only material that survives a determined chewer and can be sold as non-toxic without qualification. TPR and TPE are cheaper, mould more precisely, and need a phthalate-free declaration to be marketable in the EU. Plush is a sewing business where the squeaker is the first thing to fail.

For the buyer, the practical question is the mix. A retailer with 40 SKUs needs chew, fetch, plush, puzzle and cat in one container, and the factory that can supply all five from one shipment saves a consolidation step. We quote a mixed container by category, not by SKU.

Certification and testing

  • §EN71-1, -2 and -3 for the EU, with a test report per SKU and per material.
  • §ASTM F963 and CPSIA third-party testing for the United States.
  • §Phthalate, azo dye, formaldehyde and heavy-metal screening.
  • §Squeaker and small-parts security test, which is where most failures occur.
  • §Food-contact declaration where the toy is designed to be stuffed with treats.

Reports are issued per model and per material. A certificate for a similar product does not cover a different mould, module or fabric.

Frequently asked questions

What is the MOQ for custom pet toys? +

500 pieces on a stock mould in mixed colours, 1,000 for custom embroidery on plush, and 2,000 or more for a new mould depending on size.

Which certificates come with the toys? +

EN71-1/-2/-3 for the EU and ASTM F963 plus CPSIA for the US, per SKU and per material, with the report held per batch. Ask to see a report dated within twelve months for the exact SKU, not a generic one for the factory.

Are natural rubber toys worth the higher cost? +

For power chewers, yes: they last long enough that the customer comes back for a second one. For small breeds and cats, TPR and plush sell more per unit of shelf space because the price point is lower.

Can I mix categories in one container? +

Yes. Chew, plush, puzzle and cat toys can be consolidated into one shipment with a single loading plan, which is usually cheaper than three separate orders with three sets of documentation.

How do I avoid a safety recall? +

Test the exact SKU, not the material, and re-test when the factory changes a component. The failures we see are almost always a new squeaker, a new eye fitting or a cheaper stuffing — not the mould itself.
