Pet Beds, Mats & Cat Furniture
Memory foam · Orthopaedic · Calming · Cat trees
Beds are a foam and textile business, and the specification that decides whether the product survives is foam density, not cover design. We supply memory foam and orthopaedic beds at 45–60 kg/m³, calming donut beds, elevated mesh cots, cat trees and wooden crates. MOQ starts at 200 pieces for sewn beds and 100 for cat trees, because they ship flat.
A cheap bed uses 20–25 kg/m³ reconstituted foam and collapses into a pad within three months. A bed that holds its shape uses 45 kg/m³ or more, or a memory-foam layer over a high-density base. The difference at retail is obvious once a customer has owned both.
Freight is the second constraint. Beds compress and vacuum-pack; cat trees knock down flat; wooden crates ship as panels. Ask for the packed volume per unit before you compare unit prices, because a US$3 difference in FOB is meaningless if the packed volume doubles.

What can be customised
- ✓Cover fabric, colour and quilt pattern from 300 pcs.
- ✓Your logo on a woven label, a printed base or an embossed leather patch.
- ✓Foam density upgrade for an orthopaedic claim, quoted per density step.
- ✓Size changes within 10 percent of a stock pattern, no new tooling.
- ✓Vacuum packing to cut freight on sewn beds.
Certification and testing
- §Fabric testing: colourfastness, pilling, shrinkage, and azo dyes for the EU.
- §Foam certificate: density, compression set and, if claimed, flame retardancy (CA TB117-2013 for the US).
- §REACH SVHC and Proposition 65 statements for US retail.
- §Zipper and small-parts safety for beds sold as pet products near children.
- §Carton compression test, because flat-packed furniture arrives crushed more often than scratched.
Reports are issued per model and per material. A certificate for a similar product does not cover a different mould, module or fabric.
Frequently asked questions
What is the MOQ for a private-label pet bed? +
200 pieces for a stock bed in mixed sizes, 300 if you change the foam specification, and 100 for a cat tree because it ships flat.
What foam density should I specify? +
35–45 kg/m³ for mainstream retail, 50 kg/m³ or a memory-foam layer if you intend to market it as orthopaedic. Anything under 30 kg/m³ will flatten within six months and come back as a return.
How do I reduce freight on beds? +
Vacuum packing cuts the packed volume by 40–60 percent, and it is standard on sewn beds. Ask for the packed volume per unit in cubic metres so you can compare landed cost rather than FOB price.
Are the covers machine washable? +
The good ones are: a zip cover, a waterproof inner liner and a wash instruction label. Ask for the shrinkage test after five washes, because a cover that shrinks 8 percent will not go back on the foam.
Can you match a fabric I already sell? +
Yes, with a Pantone reference and a 2–3 m swatch. Dye lots vary between runs, so we keep a master swatch on file and match against it for repeat orders.
